Job summary

EY in India is seeking a Senior Cloud Security & Networking Engineer with 4-8 years of IT experience to design, deploy, and manage secure cloud network architectures across hybrid and multi-cloud platforms, with emphasis on Azure and AWS.

You will develop Terraform modules, automate provisioning, build GitHub Actions workflows, and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for a range of workloads, including Java, .NET, Angular, Python and Big Data, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of hands-on Azure Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps experience.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services including virtual networks, subnets, NSGs, VMs, load balancing, storage, identity, security and monitoring.
• Hands-on Terraform experience including reusable modules, remote state, providers and env-based deployments.
• Experience creating and maintaining GitHub Actions workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on Kubernetes/AZS experience including deployment, scaling, networking and security.
• Scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Security & Networking Engineer with 4-8 years of IT experience and deep expertise in designing, deploying, and managing secure cloud network architectures. The role requires strong hands‑on skills in Azure and AWS (with GCP as an added advantage), implementing Zero Trust security, cloud‑native networking, and enterprise‑grade compliance frameworks. You will work closely with cloud architects, security leaders, and application teams to ensure resilient, secure, and scalable environments across hybrid and multi‑cloud platforms.

Your key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure across compute, networking, storage, identity, security, and monitoring services.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and automate infrastructure provisioning across development, test, staging, and production environments.
• Build and maintain GitHub Actions workflows for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Implement end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines covering build, testing, security validation, approvals, deployment, release, and rollback.
• Enable continuous delivery for application stacks including Java, .NET, Angular, Python, and Big Data workloads.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes platforms, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), supporting cloud‑native and microservices‑based workloads.
• Manage AKS capabilities including namespaces, deployments, services, ingress, autoscaling, RBAC, secrets, networking, and monitoring.
• Implement Azure security controls using Microsoft Entra ID, Managed Identities, RBAC, Key Vault, NSGs, Private Endpoints, and Azure Policy.
• Configure monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Support cloud migration, modernisation, and platform upgrade initiatives, including environment readiness and cutover activities.
• Troubleshoot issues across Azure infrastructure, Terraform, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and AKS environments.
• Collaborate with architecture, application, cybersecurity, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, SOPs, and engineering best practices.

Skills and attributes for success

Mandatory Skills

• 4‑8 years of experience with strong hands‑on experience in Azure Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services covering virtual networks, subnets, NSGs, virtual machines, load balancing, storage, identity, security, and monitoring.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Terraform, including reusable modules, remote state, provider configuration, variables, outputs, and environment‑based deployments.
• Strong hands‑on experience creating and maintaining GitHub Actions workflows.
• Experience building automated CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployment.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including deployment, scaling, upgrades, networking, security, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Git, branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and release management.
• Scripting experience using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Hands‑on experience in cloud migration and modernisation, including infrastructure migration, lifecycle upgrades, and environment cutovers.
• Good understanding of cloud security, networking, monitoring, high availability, backup, and disaster recovery concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
