Job description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be For:
  • Design, implement, and test system software (user interface system, database, control logic, batch layer, etc.).
  • Support Lead Engineer as Area/Sub Lead for medium to large projects.
  • Have good knowledge of DCS / PLC systems and exposure to S88 architecture (preferable).
  • Hands-on experience with Batch process applications (e.g., biotech, pharma, F&B, terminal automation).
  • Follow strict procedural guidelines and adhere to standards.
  • Prepare design and test documents.
  • Interpret functional requirement documents and develop detailed design documents.
  • Develop configuration and test guidelines.
  • Participate in FAT/SAT/Commissioning activities.
  • Willing to travel to customer sites or Emerson overseas offices for short/long-term assignments.
  • Ensure quality control and assurance.
  • Implement EEEC IMS processes/documentation as required throughout the project.
  • Follow WA quality requirements and customer regulatory guidelines.
  • Promote a first-time right approach and adhere to GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the business, which may be strategic or technical in nature.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • 3 to 7 years' experience in DCS system software configuration and testing; PLC configuration knowledge is preferable.
  • Experience in DCS software configuration and testing (Batch and S88 applications desirable).
  • Experience conducting FAT/SAT.
  • Experience with third-party interfaces (Modbus, Profibus, OPC, etc.).
  • Knowledge of validation aspects (desirable).
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Degree in Instrumentation & Electronics or related field.
  • Basic understanding of networking protocols and concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Certification in GAMP5 and GDP requirements (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience with DeltaV system.
