Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Cloud Database Engineer with DevOps, OCI expertise, and Oracle DB management to drive cloud automation and modernization. The role focuses on Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD implementation, and cross-cloud integration across OCI, AWS, Azure, and GCP.

The candidate will design and administer Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c/23ai/26ai), manage RAC/ASM/Data Guard, and implement hybrid-cloud architectures with robust monitoring, security, and DR capabilities.

Qualifications

Experience administering Oracle Databases in enterprise environments.
Strong DevOps mindset with IaC and CI/CD expertise.
Experience across OCI and multi-cloud environments.
Knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, GoldenGate.
Automation and cloud modernization experience.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage OCI services (Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM, Monitoring, Security).
Implement OCI landing zones, governance, tagging, and cost controls.
Configure OCI Monitoring, Logging Analytics, Cloud Guard, Security Zones.
Manage OCI networking: VCN, DRG, FastConnect, VPN, Load Balancers, DNS.
Support OCI Backup, DR, HA, and BC solutions.
Administer Oracle Databases (11g/12c/19c/23ai/26ai) across enterprise.
Manage RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, GoldenGate, Multitenant architectures.
Perform installations, upgrades, migrations, patching, cloning, tuning.
Monitor DB health, availability, capacity, security.
Support cross-cloud migrations and hybrid-cloud architectures.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database Engineer with strong DevOps, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Core DBA, and Multi-Cloud expertise. The ideal candidate will drive cloud automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD implementation, database platform engineering, and cloud modernization initiatives. This role requires a DevOps-first mindset with extensive experience managing Oracle databases across OCI and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.

Roles Responsibilities

OCI Cloud Administration

Design, deploy, and manage OCI services including Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM, Monitoring, and Security.
Implement OCI landing zones, cloud governance, resource tagging, and cost optimization controls.
Configure OCI Monitoring, Logging Analytics, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, and Operations Insights.
Manage OCI networking including VCN, DRG, FastConnect, VPN, Load Balancers, and DNS services.
Support OCI Backup, Disaster Recovery, High Availability, and Business Continuity solutions.

Core DBA Responsibilities

Administer Oracle Databases (11g, 12c, 19c, 23ai/26ai) in enterprise environments.
Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, GoldenGate, and Multitenant architectures.
Perform installations, upgrades, migrations, patching, cloning, and performance tuning activities.
Support backup/recovery operations, DR testing, and database lifecycle management.
Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and security compliance.

Multi-Cloud Platform Support

Support Oracle workloads across OCI, AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
Design and implement hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud architectures.
Perform cloud migrations, platform modernization, and workload optimization initiatives.
Integrate cloud-native monitoring, security, and automation frameworks across multiple cloud providers.
Develop standardized deployment and operational models across cloud platforms.
