Job description

Responsibilities
  • Handle software-related requests for assistance (problems).
  • Troubleshoot software and identify root causes of software problems.
  • Analyze software related issues and propose solutions.
  • Fix software problems and test (verify) solutions prior to implementing them.
  • Obtain and log customer feedback for the purpose of process improvement.
  • Document software support activities thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
  • Make decisions quickly, sometimes with limited information.
  • Review work log and customer feedback periodically with supervisor and other analysts and technicians to identify and act on opportunities for improvement.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS – SOFTWARE SUPPORT EXECUTIVE

Qualifications:

  1. A Master’s degree in computer science or computer application is required, as is a minimum of one year of experience in software support or troubleshooting.
  2. Must work well independently or as part of a team of software analysts and support technicians.
  3. Good communication skills (especially listening) and the ability to work well with people at all levels (technical, non-technical, etc.) are essential.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must.
  5. Should be able to check the software and understand customer queries.
  6. Respond to customer queries by e-mail, chat, or telephone.
  7. Installation and training of the software at client side or on call.
  8. Should be proficient in Desktop Support.
  9. Excellent attendance and punctuality are required.
  10. Can arrange and show demonstrations at client side.
  11. Excellent customer service skills.
  12. Submission of daily, weekly, or monthly support activity to the Senior.
