Job summary

Tunga Aerospace Industries in Tamil Nadu is seeking an entry-level RF engineer to join our avionics lab. You will help set up RF test environments, operate VNA and spectrum analyzers, and support datalink testing under guidance.

Candidates with a strong RF fundamentals background and Python scripting will thrive as you contribute to antenna tuning, data collection, and documentation of test procedures for integration campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electronics / Communication / RF Engineering.
• Background in RF systems or datalink testing.
• Familiarity with aerospace communication standards (DO-160, MIL-STD).

Responsibilities

• Set up RF lab test environments and measurement setups.
• Measure antenna performance (VSWR, return loss).
• Develop basic automated test scripts using Python.
• Maintain test procedures, logs, and reports.
• Assist in field deployment and RF system setup.

Job description

• Preferred Experience: Relevant experience in RF systems or datalink testing (freshers with strong RF lab projects encouraged)
• Basic understanding of RF fundamentals, antennas, and transmission lines
• Exposure to RF measurement setups and instrumentation
• Familiarity with UAV communication systems is a plus
• Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with aerospace communication standards (DO-160, MIL-STD)
• Growth Potential: Interest in learning advanced RF simulation tools (ADS, HFSS, CST)
• Innovation: Exposure to SDR platforms (GNU Radio) and modern datalink protocols
• Collaboration: Ability to work closely with avionics and systems teams
