Wissen Infotech seeks a Senior Data Governance Engineer to build trusted, governed data solutions using Microsoft Purview. The role emphasizes data quality, MDM, metadata management, and integrating governance into data pipelines.

You will design Purview-based data catalogs, classifications, and retention policies, collaborate with data engineering and security teams, and drive governance strategy, lifecycle management, and compliance monitoring across enterprise platforms.

Responsabilités

• Assess enterprise data governance, data management, and compliance environments and recommend appropriate Microsoft Purview capabilities.
• Design and implement Microsoft Purview solutions for data discovery, cataloging, metadata management, lineage, classification, sensitivity labeling, and retention.
• Establish data governance standards, ownership, stewardship, and controls to improve data quality, consistency, and trust.
• Support data quality and MDM initiatives, including data profiling, validation, issue identification, and remediation.
• Configure Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, and Information Protection to support security and compliance requirements.
• Conduct technical health checks and configuration reviews covering audit settings, privileged access, and governance and compliance policies.
• Lead proof-of-concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Microsoft Purview and related Microsoft technologies.
• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, security, and cloud architecture teams to embed governance controls into enterprise data platforms and pipelines.
• Develop technical documentation, governance procedures, and operational guidance.
• Guide stakeholders on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and operating model improvements.

The ideal candidate will have strong data governance and data management experience, including data quality and Master Data Management (MDM), with hands‑on technical skills from a data analyst or data engineer background and an understanding of cloud architecture and networking.

• Knowledge of data cataloging, metadata management, lineage, classification, ownership, and stewardship.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview DLP, Information Protection, eDiscovery, Compliance Manager, and retention policies.
• Understanding of cloud architecture and networking, including connectivity, identity, access controls, and integration considerations.
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues, identifying configuration gaps, and implementing remediation.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
