Job summary

Genzeon Global is seeking an experienced Databricks Consultant to join its Data Practice in Seri Lingampally, India. You will leverage Databricks expertise to solve complex client data challenges and deliver scalable data solutions.

The role combines platform knowledge with data-strategy consulting, partnering with Analytics, ML/AI and Cloud teams to modernize data estates and drive business outcomes. This contract position requires leadership in workshops, solution design, and mentoring junior

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data engineering and analytics consulting experience.
• Hands-on Databricks implementations for enterprise clients (3+ years).
• Strong grasp of data architecture and Lakehouse patterns.
• Experience integrating Databricks with BI tools and data ecosystems.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical Databricks solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key technical advisor within our Data Practice, specializing in Databricks Lakehouse Platform implementation
• Assess clients’ existing data landscapes and develop strategic roadmaps for Databricks adoption
• Design and implement end-to-end data engineering solutions using Databricks
• Modernize legacy data warehouses and data lakes by migrating to Databricks Lakehouse architecture
• Develop optimized data pipelines using Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Databricks Workflows
• Implement data governance frameworks using Unity Catalog and other Databricks tools
• Collaborate with other practice areas (Analytics, ML/AI, Cloud) to deliver integrated solutions
• Lead client workshops and discovery sessions to gather requirements and align on solutions
• Provide thought leadership through knowledge sharing, blog posts, and community participation
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the growth of our Data Practice capabilities

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics consulting
• 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing Databricks solutions for enterprise clients
• Strong understanding of modern data architecture patterns and the Lakehouse paradigm
• Proficient in building data pipelines using Spark and Delta Lake on Databricks
• Experience integrating Databricks with broader data ecosystems and BI tools
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience in one or more cloud platforms where Databricks is deployed (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong client-facing communication skills and consulting mindset

Technical Skills

• Databricks Platform: Databricks Workflows, Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL
• Data Engineering: Apache Spark, Delta Lake, ETL/ELT pipelines
• Languages: Python, SQL, Scala (preferred)
