Job summary

NTT DATA North America is seeking a Databricks Architect to define the target Lakehouse architecture for migrations in Bangalore, India. You will design workspace, Unity Catalog governance, RBAC alignment, Delta Lake patterns, and deployment approaches.

You will guide Python job migration, Airflow DAG repointing, and Git integration changes while reviewing scalability, security and cost. Strong Databricks and Snowflake migration experience is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on architecture experience with Databricks Lakehouse, Unity Catalog, and Delta Lake.
• Experience with RBAC, data governance, and production-grade platform design.
• Knowledge of Snowflake migration patterns and SQL/Python conversion.

We are currently seeking a Databricks Architect to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

The Databricks Solution Architect will define the target Databricks Lakehouse architecture for the migration, including workspace design, Unity Catalog governance, RBAC alignment, Delta Lake patterns, environment strategy, deployment approach, orchestration integration, and migration standards for converted Snowflake workloads.

Design Databricks solution patterns for migrated workloads, including project structure, environment setup, data organization, governance, and operational readiness.

Define and validate Unity Catalog, RBAC, Azure AD to Databricks role mappings, warehouse configuration, and domain-level access models.

Guide Lakebridge calibration, conversion strategy, exception handling, and manual remediation patterns for unsupported or complex workloads.

Provide architectural direction for Python job migration, Airflow DAG repointing, Git integration changes, and deployment enablement.

Review design decisions for scalability, maintainability, security, cost awareness, and alignment with agreed scope boundaries.

Support technical issue resolution during conversion, validation, reconciliation, deployment, and hypercare phases.

Contribute to migration playbooks, design documentation, handoff materials, and knowledge transfer sessions.

Required Skills and Experience: Hands-on architecture experience with Databricks Lakehouse, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, Databricks SQL, workflow orchestration, RBAC, cloud storage integration, CI/CD, Azure services, Snowflake migration patterns, SQL and Python conversion, data modeling, data governance, and production-grade platform design. Experience guiding automated migration tools, reconciliation strategy, and complex workload remediation is preferred.
