Job summary

RSM US Integrated Services India Private Limited is seeking a Database Administrator with 5–6 years of hands-on experience across SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Neo4j, and MongoDB in production environments.

You will manage availability, performance, backup, recovery, and security for relational, graph, and document databases, including Azure Data Factory pipelines and SSIS packages as requirements arise.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administer SQL Server, Azure SQL (PaaS), PostgreSQL, Neo4j, and MongoDB platforms including setup, patching, upgrades, security, capacity, monitoring, and high availability.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, maintain runbooks, and follow change-management procedures.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Azure Data Factory pipelines for data movement.
• Develop, modify, and support SSIS packages for integration or migration needs.
• Collaborate with application and data teams to validate mappings, schedules, and error handling.
• Partner with architects, security, infra, and business-technology teams to design DB solutions.
• Review schemas, queries, indexes, and execution plans; optimize for reliability and performance.
• Participate in weekend/after-hours maintenance and on-call rotations; support DR exercises.

RSM has an opportunity for a highly motivated Database Administrator with 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL (Paas), PostgreSQL, Neo4j, and MongoDB environments. The role is responsible for the availability, performance, security, backup, recovery, and operational support of relational, graph, and document database platforms across on-premises and Azure environments. The administrator will also support data-integration needs by setting up and maintaining Azure Data Factory pipelines and developing or enhancing SSIS packages as business and technical requirements arise.

• Administer Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL (Paas), PostgreSQL, Neo4j, and MongoDB platforms, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, security administration, capacity management, monitoring, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high-availability, and routine health checks.
• Troubleshoot database incidents and service degradation, perform root-cause analysis, maintain operational documentation and runbooks, and ensure database changes follow established change-management and security procedures.
• Support data integration and movement requirements by configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Develop, modify, deploy, and support SSIS packages when integration, migration, transformation, or scheduled data-processing needs arise.
• Work with application and data teams to validate source-to-target mappings, dependencies, schedules, error handling, and operational support requirements.
• Partner with application developers, architects, infrastructure, security, and business technology teams to design and implement database solutions.
• Review database schemas, queries, indexes, execution plans, data models, and deployment scripts; recommend improvements for reliability, scalability, maintainability, and performance across relational and non-relational platforms.
• Participate in scheduled and unscheduled weekend or after-hours maintenance and production support using established change-management and incident-response procedures.
• Perform rotational on-call duties, support disaster-recovery exercises, and assist with restoration and service-continuity activities.

Education/Certifications Preferred

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant work experience may be considered. Microsoft, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Neo4j, or Azure data certifications are preferred but not required.

Technical Skills

• Strong administration skills for Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Practical experience administering or operationally supporting Neo4j and MongoDB, including security, backup and recovery, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting production databases for availability, performance, reliability, capacity, and incident resolution.
• Working administration knowledge of Neo4j graph databases and MongoDB document databases.
• Database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, backup, recovery, security, monitoring, capacity planning, and high-availability support.
• SQL performance tuning, query analysis, indexing, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
• Ability to set up, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Ability to develop, enhance, deploy, and support SSIS packages as needed.
• Proficiency with T-SQL and familiarity with PostgreSQL SQL, PowerShell, or other automation/scripting tools.
• Knowledge of Azure data services, Azure DevOps or comparable source-control and deployment practices, and IT service-management processes.
• Experience creating, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Experience developing and supporting SSIS packages for data integration, transformation, migration, or scheduled processing needs.
• Experience with controlled production changes, patching, upgrades, disaster recovery, documentation, and rotational on-call support.

Experience

5 to 6 years of hands-on database administration experience, with strong experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL in production environments. Practical experience administering or operationally supporting Neo4j and MongoDB, including security, backup and recovery, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
