About the Team

The Database Administrator role within the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) is responsible for working on key initiatives that impact the entire CTO organization. This role involves contribution and support towards organization-wide initiatives and helping streamline processes while bringing efficiencies.

What You Will Own

• Understanding various schemas and important DB objects within WPG and how different schemas and databases interact with each other.
• Performing extensive database code reviews and ensuring code follows coding conventions.
• Suggesting improvements for writing DB code and/or queries during code reviews.
• Resolving technical DB-related issues for teams.
• Participating in software design meetings.
• Writing DB code for new features or production issue fixes.
• Understanding and executing the DB build process and explaining issues occurring in builds to help teams correct them.
• Performing GoldenGate setup and resolving basic GoldenGate issues.
• Being part of the performance tuning team and resolving performance issues faced by the team.

What You Bring

• 7 years of experience in Oracle and PL/SQL.
