Qualifications

• Knowledge of database backups, restores and recovery models.

Responsibilities

• Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to production systems.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, ensuring high availability and security.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes for efficiency and cost optimization.
• Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
• Share domain and technical expertise, providing mentorship and cross-training to peers.

We are currently seeking a Database Administration Analyst to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

G5 - Database Administrator (Intermediate L1 / Junior L2)

Role Summary

G5 admins will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our client applications. This is a "hands-on" position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes, for efficiency and cost optimization.
• Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
• Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross‑training to other peers and team members.

Required Skills

1-3 year experience on SQL Server 2008/2012/Above versions in database administration, in an enterprise environment with multiple database servers is required.

• Knowledge of database Architecture and administration
• Knowledge of incident and problem queue management.
• Knowledge of database backups, restores and recovery models
• Experience working with Linux, Windows & Unix servers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving skills
• Flexible, team player, "get-it-done" personality
• Ability to work independently (SOP based Activities), with little or no direct supervision.
• Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
• Basic ITIL foundation, Continual Service Improvement and Total Quality Management experiences.

C) Nice to Have: (Optional)

• Knowledge of scripting.
• Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL.
• Experience supporting Logical DBA activities.
• MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus
