Job summary

Alter Domus in India seeks a Business Process Analyst to optimize data handover workflows and ensure data quality across billing processes. You will partner with LoB operations and SAP COE to design scalable, automated solutions, define validation gates, and deliver actionable insights through KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• 4-6 years experience in business process analysis, operations improvement, or data management within finance or billing.
• Strong process mapping and optimization skills.
• Experience with data quality frameworks and validation rules.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as UiPath or Power Automate.
• Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
• SAP FI/AR knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Ensure processes are set up, operate efficiently, monitor data quality, automate, and report KPIs.
• Serve as process liaison between BMT operations and SAP COE to enable data-driven decisions.
• Design and optimize Data Handovers from current to future state.
• Develop and pilot data handover solutions and deploy Wave 1.
• Define complete data checklists by pricing type and design automated validation rules.
• Monitor data submissions and resolve discrepancies.
• Document end-to-end billing processes and maintain knowledge repositories.
• Generate weekly data quality reports and monthly summaries.
• Coordinate with LoB operations teams and conduct workshops.

Your responsibilities:

Ensuring processes are set up, operate efficiently and reliably, including data quality monitoring, automation development, and KPI reporting. Act as processual liaison between BMT operations and SAP COE, enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous process optimization.

Data Handover Process Design & Optimization

• Conduct current-state assessment of LoB billing data flows (interviews, process mapping, gap analysis)
• Design future-state data handover process with clear steps, roles (RACI), validation gates, and submission deadlines
• Develop and pilot to validate approach, select optimal solution (or hybrid) based on data quality, LoB effort reduction, scalability, and cost
• Deploy selected solution for Wave 1 (LoB 1) and refine for Waves 2-3 based on lessons learned

Data Quality Management

• Define "complete data" checklists by pricing type (fixed-fee, variable, basis points, T&E, complex)
• Design automated data validation rules (completeness, accuracy, consistency checks)
• Monitor data submissions for anomalies and quality issues
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies impacting invoice accuracy
• Coordinate with LoB operations teams on data quality improvements and training needs

Process Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Document end-to-end billing processes (as-is and to-be)
• Develop data submission calendars, templates, and user guides for LoB teams
• Maintain process documentation repository ensuring version control and accessibility
• Support AD Academy with data handover training materials and LoB workshops

Reporting & Analytics

• Generate weekly data quality reports for PMO Lead and monthly summaries for Steering Committee

Stakeholder Coordination & Change Management

• Partner with LoB operations teams to co-design data handover workflows respecting their constraints
• Conduct LoB workshops training regional teams on new data submission processes
• Facilitate dry-run billing cycle validating end-to-end data flow
• Escalate chronic data quality issues to LoB Leaders and PMO Lead

Your profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 4-6 years experience in business process analysis, operations improvement, or data management (finance/billing domain preferred)
• Strong process mapping and optimization skills (Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt preferred)
• Experience with data quality frameworks, validation rules, and reconciliation processes
• Familiarity with automation tools (UiPath, Power Automate, or similar RPA platforms)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills (ability to work with LoB operations teams)
• SAP FI/AR knowledge helpful
• Process mapping and optimization (SIPOC, value stream analysis, workflow design)
• Data analysis and validation (quality frameworks, error taxonomies, reconciliation)Business analysis (requirements gathering, solution design, feasibility assessment)
• Stakeholder collaboration and facilitation (workshops, training, change management)
• Documentation and knowledge management (SOPs, templates, user guides)
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving
• Communication (translating technical data concepts for operational audiences)
