Job summary

Alignity is hiring a Data Security and Cloud Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune or Chennai. You will work on enterprise authorization, application integration and security across modern cloud data platforms.

Bring 5+ years of experience, collaborate with architects and security teams, and leverage technologies like Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Synapse to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to work with Application Architects, developers, security teams and data engineers.
• Understand application architectures, integration patterns, and security requirements.
• Strong knowledge of authentication/authorization concepts and API security.
• Hands-on REST API testing and validation using Postman.
• Experience troubleshooting API requests/responses and policy evaluation.
• Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse Analytics).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to understand architecture, integration patterns and security requirements.
• Evaluate integration patterns and how authorization services are invoked across architectures.
• Define approaches for integrating enterprise authorization with applications and APIs.
• Test and validate authorization policies using REST APIs and Postman.

• Work with development teams to resolve integration and authorization challenges.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Application Authorization & Integration professional who can work closely with Application Architects, development teams, security teams, and data engineering teams to understand application architectures, integration patterns, and security requirements. The candidate will assess how applications can consume and interact with the enterprise authorization solution, recommend suitable integration approaches, and provide technical guidance for successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Application Architects and technical stakeholders to understand application architecture, design, integration patterns, and security requirements.
• Evaluate different application integration patterns and determine how authorization services should be invoked across various application architectures.
• Define and recommend appropriate approaches for integrating enterprise authorization services with applications and APIs.
• Test and validate authorization policies using REST APIs and tools such as Postman.
• Execute and analyze API requests and responses to troubleshoot authorization, policy evaluation, and access-control issues.
• Work with development teams to identify and resolve integration and authorization-related challenges.
• Understand modern cloud data and analytics platforms, including Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Assess data platform architectures and understand how authorization requirements apply to applications and data solutions built on these platforms.
• Apply knowledge of authentication, authorization, API integration, and security concepts within cloud-based enterprise environments.
• Collaborate across application, security, and data engineering teams to drive successful adoption of the enterprise authorization framework.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable application integrations.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience collaborating with Application Architects, Solution Architects, developers, and technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, integration patterns, and security requirements.
• Experience evaluating application integration approaches for enterprise authorization solutions.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and Postman for API testing and validation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving API requests/responses, policy evaluation, and access-control scenarios.
• Good understanding of authentication and authorization concepts, API security, and cloud security.
• Working knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Understanding of modern cloud data platform architectures.
• Experience working across Application, Security, and Data Engineering teams.
• Ability to translate security and authorization requirements into practical technical integration solutions.
