Requirements
Cyber Security Consultant As a CyberSecurity Consultant, you’ll support a team responsible for the SecurityOperations of Azure Cloud environment to our client cloud environmentshosted on the Client environment. Some of the key activities that you’llperform include:
- Security Management andOperations:
- o Monitor and respond to cloudsecurity alerts, incidents, access requests, and exceptions within SLA/SLOrequirements.
- o Investigate suspiciousactivity, unauthorized access, blocked traffic, phishing, malware indicators,and policy violations.
- o Configure, implement, andtroubleshoot Azure security controls, firewalls, VPNs, network security groups,security groups, port-access rules, and network access controls.
- o Support whitelist requests,website and cloud application access, Azure port openings, and securityexception processes.
- o Troubleshoot connectivityacross Azure resources, virtual machines, virtual networks, VDI, Azure VirtualDesktop, endpoints, and enterprise networks.
- o Review SIEM, firewall,endpoint, and cloud-native security logs and alerts; elevate complex orhigh-impact issues as needed.
- o Manage ServiceNow incidents andRITM requests, maintaining accurate work notes, resolution details, statusupdates, and escalation records.
- o Support vulnerabilityremediation, security assessments, patch validation, control testing, evidencecollection, and risk tracking.
- o Support identity and accessmanagement, including role-based access control, privileged access, andperiodic access reviews.
- o Monitor hybrid cloudenvironments and perform configuration reviews against approved securitystandards and architecture patterns.
- o Maintain security managementtools and platforms to improve operational visibility, security, andcompliance.
- o Coordinate with infrastructure,network, endpoint, application, service desk, and security teams to resolvecross-functional issues.
- o Develop and maintain knowledgearticles, standard operating procedures, checklists, and automated processes.
- o Analyze recurring ticket trendsand recommend improvements to reduce repeat issues and increase efficiency.
- o Participate in on-call orshift-based support as required.
- Compliance and Governance:
- o Ensure adherence to regulatoryrequirements such as NIST, CIS, PCI, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
- o Participate in securityarchitecture reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Collaboration andCommunication:
- o Work effectively in a globallydistributed team, managing multiple priorities while collaborating withcross-functional teams.
- o Communicate effectively withall levels of the organization, including technical and non-technicalstakeholders.
- o Provide training and support toclients and internal teams on hybrid cloud security management practices.
- Continuous Improvement:
- o Identify opportunities forprocess improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency and effectivenessof cloud security operations.
- o Stay up-to-date with the latesttrends and advancements in cloud security technologies and managementpractices.
- o Contribute to the developmentof best practices and standards for hybrid cloud security management.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computerscience, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of informationtechnology and/or information security experience.
- Knowledge and expertise inmajor public cloud service providers: Azure
- Moderate level of understandingassociated with firewalls, VPCs, security groups, and key management and secureSDLC pipelines.
- Ability to identify gaps and/orsecurity requirements and inject security controls across the security domainsto cloud infrastructure.
- Exposure to DevOps practicesand automation of software testing, delivery, and infrastructure changes.
- Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complextechnical issues.
- Experience withsecurity-related regulatory requirements, such as NIST, PCI, ISO 27001, GDPR.
- Experience with log collectionand storage (e.g., Elastic stacks, Splunk, etc.).
- Relevant certifications such asCISSP, CSSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: AzureSecurity Engineer Associate, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud SecurityEngineer are preferred.
- Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technicalconcepts to non-technical stakeholders.
