The Machine Learning domain encompasses the application of algorithms and models to enable computers to learn from data and make predictions or decisions. This domain includes subfields such as segmentation, propensity modeling, NLP, reinforcement learning, and working with foundation models for generative AI.
What you will do
- Collaborate with leaders, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads and other engineers, along with internal customers, to understand requirements and develop AI solutions that meet business needs
- Maintain and enhance existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain driven design and test-driven development
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues; identify and implement solutions
- Create detailed project specifications, requirements, and estimates
- Research and implement new AI technologies to enhance processes, security, and performance
- Work closely with data scientists and product teams to build and deploy machine learning models, focusing on the technical aspects of model deployment
- Implement and optimize Python-based ML pipelines for data preprocessing, model training, and deployment
- Monitor model performance and implement strategies for bias mitigation and explainability; ensure models are scalable and efficient in production
- Write and maintain code for model training and deployment, collaborating with software engineers to integrate models into applications
- Partner with a diverse team to build scalable and impactful AI solutions
All you will need for success
Minimum Qualifications - Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
- 3+ years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale machine learning applications in hosted production environments
- 3+ years of professional, design, and open-source experience
Preferred Qualifications - Education & Experience
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
- 3 years of SDLC experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale machine learning applications
- Airline Industry experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Proficiency in Python; Databricks; Hibernate/Oracle; REST/SOAP; MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes); CI/CD tools (Git, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus)
- Experience with governance for responsible AI, post-deployment model maintenance, observability, drift detection
- Strong NLP knowledge (tokenization, embeddings, transformers, attention)
- Vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
- Data pipelines, ETL, distributed computing; Generative AI with LLMs (OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, Llama)
- Prompt Engineering; Microsoft Office; Agile (SCRUM); DevOps CI/CD
Language / Communication Skills / Physical Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and negotiation skills
