Data Scientist – Statistical Modeling (India | $14/hr)
Helping AI Startups Hire 0→1 Founding Engineers & Product Talent | Backend & Infra | US & Europe
An AI-focused talent platform partners with leading research labs to match specialized technical talent with cutting‑edge autonomous systems projects. The organization supports work building intelligent agent‑based systems designed for real‑world adaptability, reasoning, and experimentation.
Position: Data Scientist — India
Type: Hourly Contract
Compensation: $14/hour
Location: India (India-based applicants only)
Commitment: Part-time (20–40 hrs/week)
Primary Objective: Design and implement data models, pipelines, and metrics that support experimentation, benchmarking, and continuous learning for agentic AI systems. The role focuses on generating data‑driven insights into how agents reason, adapt, and improve across algorithmic and real‑world tasks.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop data collection and preprocessing pipelines for structured and unstructured data arising from agent simulations.
- Build and iterate predictive and behavioral ML models to assess agent performance, clustering, and optimization outcomes.
- Conduct statistical analyses (A/B testing, causal inference, regression modeling) to evaluate model behavior under varied constraints.
- Design dashboards, visualizations, and monitoring tools to track benchmarks and trends.
- Define evaluation frameworks for agent reasoning, adaptability, and efficiency.
- Partner with engineers and research scientists to align KPIs, experiment design, and performance measurement.
- Prototype tools and feedback loops to automatically refine model accuracy and agent behavior over time.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Strong background in data science, machine learning, or applied statistics.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with data and ML libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit‑learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow).
- Understanding of probabilistic modeling, statistical inference, and experimentation frameworks.
- Ability to collect, clean, and transform complex datasets.
- Experience evaluating predictive models using metrics such as precision, recall, F1‑score, and ROC‑AUC.
- Familiarity with large‑scale data systems (Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Residency in India (required).
Why This Role Stands Out
- Work directly with next‑generation intelligent agent systems.
- Blend machine learning, experimentation, and data engineering in a single role.
- Contribute to new agent benchmarks, performance evaluation, and feedback mechanisms.
- Influence how data shapes agent behavior, reasoning, and adaptability.
Compensation & Work Structure
- Part‑time contract (20–40 hours/week).
- Weekly performance bonus: $500–$1000 USD per 5 tasks created.
