High5 is seeking a hands-on Data Scientist / Machine Learning Consultant to support a confidential transformation project for a leading Indian bank focused on hyper-personalization and customer analytics.

The role involves customer segmentation, predictive modelling, and Next Best Action use cases, with GenAI prototypes potentially in later stages. You will independently drive analytics across the lifecycle and present results to client teams.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years hands-on Data Science / ML experience
• Strong hands-on Python/SQL
• Proven experience in predictive modelling / propensity modelling
• Experience with customer-level data and translating analytics into business outcomes
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Strong English communication skills

About the Opportunity

A leading global strategy and consulting firm is supporting a confidential transformation project for a leading Indian bank focused on building and demonstrating the business impact of hyper-personalized customer engagement.

The project will involve customer-level analytics, advanced segmentation, predictive modelling and next-best-action/next-best-offer use cases, with the potential for GenAI-enabled personalization prototypes during later stages.

We are looking for a hands-on Data Scientist / Machine Learning Consultant who can independently contribute across the analytics lifecycle and work closely with the consulting and client teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform customer data diagnostics, data preparation and feature engineering
• Develop actionable customer micro-segments using advanced analytics techniques
• Build and refine propensity / predictive models for customer and product opportunities
• Support Next Best Action (NBA) / Next Best Offer (NBO) analytics and customer journey design
• Develop analytics supporting campaign prioritization and personalized engagement
• Contribute to pilot/control design, campaign measurement and impact assessment
• Work with Python/SQL for data analysis, modelling and experimentation
• Potentially develop lightweight GenAI prototypes/applications for personalized campaign content
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to consulting/client stakeholders

Must-Have Requirements

• 5–8 years of hands-on Data Science / Machine Learning experience
• Strong hands-on Python/SQL
• Proven experience in predictive modelling / propensity modelling
• Experience working with customer-level data and translating analytics into actionable business outcomes
• Ability to work independently with limited technical supervision
• Strong communication skills in English
• Must be available to work onsite in Mumbai

Ideal Candidate

The ideal consultant is a Senior Data Scientist / ML Engineer / Data Science Consultant who combines strong technical execution with the ability to independently structure analytical problems, build models and translate findings into practical customer-personalization use cases.

At least one consultant on the project will ideally have stronger GenAI hands-on experience, so candidates with proven experience building GenAI applications/prototypes are particularly encouraged to apply.
