Qualifications

• 3–5 years in Data Science/ML/AI roles.
• Hands-on GenAI, LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, embeddings, and RAG pipelines.
• Experience with healthcare datasets (LIS/HIS/RIS) and regulated environments.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy GenAI models for text generation, summarization, and clinical documentation automation.
• Build ML models to support broader AI initiatives and diagnostics.
• Analyze clinical and diagnostic datasets to uncover insights for decision-making.
• Identify high-value GenAI use cases across business and clinical functions.
• Develop LLM-based pipelines for diagnostic reporting and risk stratification.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Product, IT, and Business teams to deliver end-to-end AI solutions.
• Ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance of AI models handling healthcare data.

ROLE SUMMARY:

We are expanding our AI team and seeking a Data Scientist with strong expertise in Generative AI (GenAI) to support and accelerate AI-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with GenAI tools and frameworks used in diagnostics, healthcare, or similar data-intensive domains to build scalable, impactful AI solutions.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and deploy GenAI models for text generation, summarization, clinical documentation automation, and knowledge extraction.
• Build machine-learning and predictive models to support broader AI initiatives.
• Analyze clinical, diagnostic, healthcare, or similar datasets to uncover insights and support decision-making.
• Identify and contribute to high-value GenAI and ML use cases across business and clinical functions.
• Build LLM-based pipelines for diagnostic reporting, medical document processing, anomaly detection, and risk stratification.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Product, IT, and Business teams to deliver end-to-end AI solutions.
• Ensure accuracy, safety, compliance, and performance of AI models handling sensitive healthcare data.
• Present insights and model outputs effectively to both technical and non-technical teams.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• 3-5 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI roles.
• Hands-on expertise in Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, embeddings, and RAG pipelines.
• Experience working in diagnostics, healthcare, medical devices, labs, or similar regulated industries.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch).
• Experience working with clinical or diagnostic datasets (LIS/HIS/RIS data, patient records, imaging metadata, lab test results).
• Experience with GenAI tools used in diagnostics, such as: Azure OpenAI / OpenAI (GPT models) for healthcare text processing & summarization, Google MedLM / Med-PaLM for clinical reasoning, AWS HealthOmics GenAI tools for genetic/biological data workflows, HuggingFace healthcare LLMs (BioBERT, ClinicalBERT, BioGPT), NVIDIA Clara / MONAI for imaging and diagnostic AI, Azure Cognitive Services for Health
• Solid understanding of NLP, text analytics, and GenAI-based automation solutions.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, Biostatistics, or related fields.
• Familiarity with healthcare frameworks and standards (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR preferred).
• Experience developing GenAI or LLM-based applications for diagnostics, reporting, or clinical decision support.
• Understanding of data engineering pipelines and data quality management.
