Job summary

UsefulBI Corporation in Bengaluru, India seeks a Senior Data Scientist / Gen AI Developer to drive end-to-end data science projects, building AI models, LLM-based solutions, and GenAI-powered tools across healthcare, life sciences, finance, and enterprise analytics.

You will optimize prompts, manage RAG workflows, fine-tune foundation models, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable AI-powered insights.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Scientist with GenAI or LLM-based applications.
• Strong expertise in Python and libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Experience in end-to-end ML lifecycle including model development, validation, and deployment.
• Solid understanding of statistics, probability, and data modelling.
• Experience with NLP libraries (NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers).
• Hands-on experience with GenAI tools: OpenAI APIs, LangChain, RAG, LLM fine-tuning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy GenAI applications using LLMs like GPT-4, Claude, LLaMA, Gemini.
• Build GenAI-powered tools such as AI report generators, contextual chatbots, and summarisation engines.
• Design, optimise, and evaluate prompts for various use cases and personas.
• Implement and enhance Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows.
• Fine-tune foundation models using LoRA, PEFT, and prompt-tuning.
• Evaluate model performance on accuracy, latency, and business KPIs.
• Apply NLP techniques such as entity recognition, topic modelling, summarisation, sentiment analysis, and QA.
• Work with libraries like Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, spaCy, and NLTK.

Requirements
