Job summary

Whereuelevate is seeking a data scientist in Pune to lead the development and implementation of scalable algorithmic solutions for real-time operations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the engineering team and establish standards in machine learning.

The role requires strong expertise in data science, including experience with Python, machine learning frameworks, and large datasets. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering team to bring analytical prototypes to production
• Lead development and implementation of scalable algorithmic solutions for real‑time operations and information flow systems
• Help establish standards in machine learning and statistical analysis to ensure consistency in quality across projects and teams and identify relevant process efficiencies
• Provide expertise on model interpretability and explainability for project standards

Qualifications

• Must have experience in data science with Python
• Strong foundation in Machine Learning, Data Mining, Recommendation Systems, Clustering, NLP, Deep Learning and Transfer learning using libraries such as scikit‑learn, Spacy, NLTK, Keras and Tensorflow
• Experience working with large datasets, including collecting, cleaning, and simulating data
• Experience in SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)
• Experience in model deployment and model lifecycle management (MLOps)
• Experience in parallel processing and Python web frameworks such as Flask
• Experience with version control tools such as Gitlab
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (advantage)
• Experience with Text Analytics
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments
• Experience in agile development environments
• Experience in documenting work and presenting it to stakeholders
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven leadership within large teams
• Ability to perform insightful quantitative and qualitative analysis of business issues
• Experience with SQL data warehouses, Big Data (Azure Storage), and at least one clustering flavor (Cloudera/Hortonworks/MapR) (good to have)
• Knowledge of model interpretability and explainability, advanced deep learning frameworks, data and model version control, IT operation analytics (good to have)
