Job summary

Atain is seeking an experienced Data Scientist (7+ years) for a remote role in India. The candidate will design and deploy traditional AI, ML, and analytics solutions using Python, SQL, and Databricks, handling large-scale datasets and delivering actionable insights.

You will build predictive and prescriptive analytics, collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders, and own data science problems from definition to delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data Science or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with large-scale datasets and Databricks.
• Experience with ML models: forecasting, clustering, regression, recommender systems.
• Knowledge of model evaluation, feature engineering, and deployment.
• Experience with Spark / PySpark is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) is a plus.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist with 7+ years of hands-on experience in traditional AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, and statistical modeling. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in developing and deploying analytical models using Python and SQL, with experience working on large-scale datasets in Databricks.

The candidate will be responsible for solving complex business problems through data-driven approaches, building predictive models, and delivering actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced machine learning and statistical models for business problems.


• Build solutions using forecasting, optimization, clustering, regression, and recommendation models.


• Perform statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis.


• Work with large and complex datasets using Databricks, SQL, and Python.


• Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions to support business decision-making.


• Identify patterns, trends, and relationships within large datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.


• Evaluate model performance and continuously improve model accuracy, scalability, and reliability.


• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, software engineers, and other data scientists.
