Job summary

HD Supply in Chennai, India is seeking an experienced data scientist to design and deploy ML models using Vertex AI and Python. You will build scalable data pipelines on GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow) for real-time and batch analytics, and translate business problems into analytical solutions.

You will perform exploratory data analysis and statistical modelling, create dashboards with Tableau/Power BI, and guide data extraction from enterprise data warehouses to ensure high-quality data for decision

Qualifications

• 4 - 10 years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or applied machine learning roles.
• Proven experience in leading end-to-end data science projects in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Experience in interacting with senior stakeholders around project conceptualization and delivery plan.
• Excellent programming skills in Python and SQL, with end-to-end ML and data pipeline development.
• Experience with data extraction from Enterprise Data Warehouse.

• Proficient in data visualization using Tableau, Power BI or Python libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly) to deliver clear, actionable insights
• Skilled in statistical modelling including regression, hypothesis testing, time series analysis and clustering with the ability to interpret and present findings effectively
• Experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage and Dataflow for scalable data processing and analytics
• Working knowledge of Snowflake for cloud-based data warehousing, including writing efficient SQL queries and integrating with data pipelines
