Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Private Limited in Bangalore is seeking a Data Scientist (MER00047O3) to lead advanced data engineering with Python and PySpark, leveraging SQL in a cloud-first setup.

Role requires Azure Databricks, ADF, ADLS, AKV, Git for version control, and familiarity with REST APIs. Docker and modern frontend stacks (React/Django) are a plus; time-series data handling and BI tools like Tableau/Power BI are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Advanced Python and PySpark programming with version control (Git).
• Azure Cloud experience including Databricks, ADF, ADLS, AKV.
• Strong SQL skills and data engineering fundamentals.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and containerized environments (Docker) is a plus.
• Exposure to time-series data and BI tools such as Tableau/Power BI is beneficial.

Description

• Advanced Python and Pyspark programming skills for advanced data engineering are required with version controlling using GIT
• Azure: Cloud working experience is must. Databricks, ADF, ADLS, AKV
• Expertise in SQL is must
• Good to have AI/ML hands on
• Good to have exposure with Docker and REST API
• Hands-on experience with at least one of the following technologies: React, Django, or modern CSS frameworks is preferred.
• Understanding & aggregation of time-series data
• Good to have Tableau/Power BI knowledge
• Communicate with stakeholders, including project sponsors, team members, and end-users, to keep them informed about project progress and address any concerns they may have.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including the migration plan, technical specifications, and test results.
• Basic Automotive knowledge is an added advantage.
