Job summary

Softcrylic, a data consulting firm, is seeking a skilled data scientist to tackle large-scale data challenges. The role focuses on advanced statistical methods, machine learning, and building scalable data pipelines in cloud environments.

Based in Chennai with hybrid work, you will collaborate with Hexaware and client teams, analyze digital marketing data, and communicate complex insights to non-technical stakeholders. Immediate start with up to one month’s notice.

Qualifications

• Independent problem solving on small/medium-scale projects.
• Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and machine learning.
• Able to work with large datasets in cloud environments.
• Strong technical communicator who can explain complex data issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Job Description:

Skills Required:

• Independent problem solving on small/medium-scale projects
• Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and machine learning
• Able to work with large datasets in cloud environments
• Strong technical communicator who is comfortable troubleshooting very complex data problems in large data pipelines and communicating to a non-technical audience
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) implementation and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)-based AI agents

Experience Required:

• Extensive statistical training
• Experience in digital marketing or related field preferable
• Experience with UX analyses
• Experience with digital behaviour analytics
• Experience with AWS machine learning services
• Deep familiarity with employing different statistical performance measures and understanding the benefits/trade-offs of each
• Experience gathering requirements and presenting results to stakeholders

Nice to have:

• Experience with Airflow, Google Auto ML, and AWS SageMaker
• Familiarity with Azure services
