Job summary

Citi in Bengaluru seeks a senior data quality and data management leader to ensure accurate, complete data across banking platforms and dashboards.

You will profile data, implement quality rules using Python, SAS, and SQL, monitor ETL pipelines, govern metadata, and mentor a team while delivering data quality metrics to leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on data quality, MIS, and data management experience; 7+ years in banking.
• Proven people-management experience.
• Strong software engineering skills with Python, SAS, SQL, Teradata, and Collibra.
• Experience with prompt engineering and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure organization’s data is accurate, complete, consistent, and reliable to support strategic planning and operational efficiency.
• Profile data to identify flaws and perform deep data profiling of large datasets.
• Author and implement data quality rules and controls using SQL, Python, or specialized DQ tools.
• Monitor data pipelines, ETL processes, and dashboards; set up automated alerts for data quality threshold breaches.
• Maintain data catalog/dictionary, document metadata, and map data lineage.
• Ensure compliance with data governance policies and data privacy regulations.
• Conduct root cause analysis of data quality issues and develop remediation action plans.
• Collaborate with data stewards, IT, developers, and cross-functional teams to resolve data issues.
• Create and maintain data quality metrics, scorecards, and reporting dashboards for leadership.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to competency development and training initiatives.
• Manage people and lead delivery of data quality, MIS, and data management projects.
