Overview

Data Quality/ Data Governance-AVP - C12- Hybrid - BANGALORE

Analytics Information management (AIM) is a global community driving data‑driven transformation across Citi to create actionable intelligence for business leaders. We are a fast growing organization working with Citi businesses and functions across the world.

Responsibilities

• Liaison with Business, Operations and Technology stakeholders to identify critical data elements, define data quality rules, and implement data quality measurement and monitoring
• Implement data quality issue management and resolution processes to ensure data quality issues are identified, prioritized and remediated effectively
• Lead efforts to implement or modify policies, procedures and system enhancements to close current and future Data Governance Gaps
• Directly manage a team of DQ analysts and contribute to day‑to‑day work
• Support team in understanding requirements for DQ profiling/ad‑hoc requests and assist in building logic
• Provide support to Data Governance/Data Stewards, manage stakeholders, set expectations, and act as Data and functional SME
• Develop and maintain project management trackers and provide updates to managers, senior leadership and stakeholders
• Design, implement and enforce processes and framework to manage end‑to‑end Data Quality engagement; support process re‑engineering, optimization and automation
• Ensure controls, governance, and process documentation are up to date
• Lead productive team and 1‑on‑1 meetings; address concerns and roadblocks
• Formulate analytical methodology, identify inconsistencies, anomalies and patterns in data
• Generate actionable business insights

Expertise & Qualifications

• Analytical / Project Management Skills
• Experience in Banking domain (Cards, Deposit, Loans, Wealth management, Insurance, etc.)
• Knowledge of Data quality frameworks, risk & control metrics, and audit processes
• Tools: SAS, SQL, Teradata; MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Nice to have: experience with BI tools (Tableau, Cognos, SAS BI, QlikView); automation and process optimization
• Educational background: MBA/Masters in Economics/Statistics/Mathematics/IT/Engineering; B Tech/BE in IT/IS/CA; preferred PG in CS/Math/OR/Management Science
• 10+ years of hands‑on experience in data quality, MIS and data management with 2–3 years in Banking
