About The Role
As a Data Quality Associate, you will be the human verification layer for Tennr’s auto‑pilot functionality. You will open a source document, look at what our AI extracted or decided, and tell us, field by field, whether it got it right. Your work directly unblocks auto‑pilot and AI capabilities for real customers.
This is a high‑volume, high‑focus role. The best people are fast, precise, allergic to sloppy work, and care about the underlying why, not just clicking through a queue. Every auto‑pilot customer we launch removes hours of manual work from a real clinic or provider group, which means patients wait less and providers get paid faster. The quality of your labels is the single biggest lever we have to get there sooner.
What You Will Do
- Complete QC reviews (labeling) in the Tennr platform. Review documents and extracted/predicted fields, mark correct/incorrect, correct values based on document evidence, follow written + customer/workflow‑specific guidelines.
- Provide feedback on edge cases by flagging ambiguous examples and escalating suspected systematic issues.
- Work through labeling projects with consistency and hitting throughput targets, while keeping quality above agreed accuracy thresholds.
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in a detail‑intensive role: data annotation, QA, medical records, claims review, insurance verification, back‑office healthcare ops, or similar.
- Excellent written English and strong reading comprehension. You will spend your day parsing US clinical and administrative documents.
- Sharp attention to detail. You notice when a date is off by one day, when a DOB does not match, when a CPT code looks wrong for the described service.
- Comfort working independently in a remote setup with clear written guidelines, Slack check‑ins, and async feedback loops.
- Reliable high‑speed internet, a private work environment, and your own computer with a modern browser.
- Willingness to work an evening shift in India to largely overlap with US Eastern Time.
Nice to Have
- Experience with US healthcare workflows: prior authorization, revenue cycle management, referral management, eligibility and benefits verification, or medical billing/coding.
- Familiarity with ICD‑10, CPT, HCPCS, or payer‑specific prior auth requirements.
- Experience with labeling or annotation tools (Label Studio, Scale, Snorkel, Labelbox, internal tools, or similar).
- Exposure to LLM evaluation or AI model QA.
- Prior experience working directly with US‑based teams on an overlapping schedule.
How You Will Be Measured
- Labeling accuracy, measured against periodic manager reviews.
- Throughput against weekly targets for your assigned document types.
- Quality of the error patterns and edge cases you surface.
- Responsiveness and reliability across the contract.
Logistics
- This is an independent contractor engagement with Tennr. You are responsible for your taxes and statutory contributions in India.
- Equipment will be provided.
