Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE, B.Tech) or related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in data protection, information security, or IT risk management roles.

Responsibilities

• Own and help refine data protection capabilities such as data discovery, classification, labeling, access governance, DLP, insider risk detection, and cloud data security (DSPM).
• Must have strong experience with MicroSoft Purview.
• Design and oversee integrations of data protection platforms including Microsoft Purview, Varonis, Cyera, or equivalent.
• Build and optimize data protection policies consistently applied to email, collaboration platforms, endpoints, cloud storage, databases, and SaaS.
• Lead data protection monitoring, alert triage, investigation, and escalation workflows.
• Develop and maintain operational processes, runbooks, and metrics to mature the data protection program.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to skill development and onboarding processes.
• Communicate data protection posture and risk to both technical and executive stakeholders.

Job Summary:

The Senior Associate will lead key aspects of the organizations data protection program, including designing and managing data protection controls, platform integrations, and operational processes. This role requires in-depth technical skills with data protection tools and the ability to actively contribute to strategy execution and automation of workflows.

• Strong understanding of data security, privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, PCI) and cloud risk management.
• Experience automating workflows with scripting or tools such as Power Automate, PowerShell, Python is preferred.
• Familiarity with integrating data protection tools with SIEM/SOAR platforms is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
