Job summary

Virtusa in Hyderabad, India, seeks a Data Program Manager to lead end-to-end data engineering and data integration across offshore and onsite teams. You will own program planning, sprint execution, governance, and milestone tracking, coordinating with business stakeholders and technology leaders to drive delivery excellence.

The role requires strong data architecture knowledge, offshore delivery, and hands-on delivery using Snowflake, Oracle, IICS, SAP BODS, and DBT, with strong data warehousing

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Engineering and Data Platform delivery.
• Experience managing large offshore delivery teams.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture and modern data platforms.
• Hands-on experience delivering solutions using Snowflake, Oracle, IICS, SAP BODS, DBT.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery across multiple data engineering and data integration workstreams.
• Manage offshore teams comprising Data Architects, Technical Leads, Data Engineers, ETL Developers, QA, and DAs.
• Own program planning, sprint execution, delivery governance, and milestone tracking.
• Coordinate with onsite stakeholders, business teams, product owners, and technology leadership.
• Drive issue resolution, dependency management, and proactive risk mitigation.
• Ensure adherence to architecture standards, coding best practices, and data governance guidelines.
• Monitor project health, resource utilization, budget, and delivery KPIs.
• Drive automation, reusable frameworks, accelerators, and AI-assisted development practices to improve delivery efficiency.
• Review solution approaches, technical estimates, and implementation plans as needed.
• Ensure successful release planning, production deployments, and post-production stabilization.
• Provide regular executive-level status reporting, highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Foster continuous improvement across delivery processes and engineering practices.
