About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler to design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade data models for HRMS migration and transformation projects. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in relational and non‑relational databases, data migration, schema design, metadata management, and HRMS data domains. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to build scalable, secure, and high‑performance data models that support business and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain logical, physical, and relational data models for enterprise HRMS applications.
• Create HRMS‑specific data models covering employee master data, payroll, benefits, performance management, and compliance reporting.
• Define and maintain primary keys, foreign keys, constraints, indexes, and partitioning strategies to optimize database performance.
• Design and execute schema conversions, data mappings, and ETL/ELT processes for HRMS migration initiatives.
• Collaborate with application owners, business stakeholders, QA, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure successful data migration and integration.
• Develop and maintain ER diagrams, data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage documentation.
• Establish and enforce enterprise data governance standards, including metadata management and Master Data Management (MDM) practices.
• Support migration from legacy HRMS platforms by ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity.
• Optimize database schemas for scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Work with development and analytics teams to align data models with business and reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards throughout the data lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.

Experience

• 5‑8 years of experience in data modeling for enterprise applications.
• Strong experience with relational databases such as Oracle and MySQL.
• Experience with non‑relational databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing enterprise‑scale data models.
• Hands‑on experience in HRMS data modeling and migration projects.
• Experience integrating and migrating data from legacy HRMS systems.
• Strong experience with schema design, normalization, and ER modeling.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Exposure to Big Data technologies such as Hadoop is an advantage.
