Job summary

Tekskills is seeking an experienced Data Modeler to design robust data models and support analytics initiatives. You will translate business requirements into scalable data structures, develop dimensional models, and ensure data quality across data platforms.

The role involves collaborating with business and tech teams, maintaining data dictionaries, and mentoring junior staff as part of a mature analytics function.

Qualifications

Strong SQL/NoSQL knowledge and data modeling experience.
Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle).
Exposure to cloud analytics platforms (Azure Synapse, Databricks).
ETL and analytics data modeling experience.
API data handling (REST, JSON, XML).
Nice-to-have: Gen AI exposure.
Nice-to-have: BFSI domain experience.

Responsibilities

Design logical and physical data models.
Translate business requirements into data solutions.
Develop dimensional models (Star Schema, Snowflake, 3NF).
Ensure data quality and consistency.
Perform data profiling and validation.
Create data dictionaries and ER diagrams.
Work with business and technical teams.
Mentor junior team members.
