Job summary

Capco is hiring a Data Modeler to lead data modelling efforts across banking, financial services, and energy domains in India. You will own data models from conceptual to physical, maintain metadata, and collaborate with business and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have 8–12 years of data modeling experience, strong SQL and BigQuery skills, and familiarity with Erwin/Visual Paradigm.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of strong data modeling experience.
• Extensive financial domain knowledge and data governance understanding.
• Solid understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Ability to maintain quality metadata and artefacts.
• Experience with SDLC and agile methodologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Capability to bridge business and technical teams.

• Strong Data Modeling experience of 8-12 years.
• Strong financial domain experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Data Modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical), create and deliver high-quality data models, by following agreed data governance and standards.
• Maintain quality metadata and data related artefacts which should be accurate, complete, consistent, unambiguous, reliable, accessible, traceable, and valid.
• Should be an individual contributor with good understanding of the SDLC & Agile methodologies.
• A team player with self-starter approach, having a sense of ownership, should be a problem solver with solution-seeking approach and an ability to work in fast-paced and continuously changing environment.
• Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills and should be capable of building rapport and relationships.
• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to bridge any gaps and assist the business teams & technical teams to successfully deliver the projects.
• Other Skills & Tools: SQL, MS-Office tools, GCP Big Query, Erwin, Visual Paradigm (preferable).
