Job summary

PERSOL is seeking an experienced Data Migration Specialist to lead SAP data migration activities within the CORE Transformation project. You will focus on accurate data mapping, cleansing, and validation while coordinating with value streams and cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has strong SAP ECC and S/4HANA experience, expertise in data mapping and transformation, and will drive data quality throughout the migration lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of overall experience with minimum 1 year in SAP data migration projects, preferably focusing on S/4HANA.
• Familiarity with data migration tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Comprehensive understanding of business processes across SAP R2D value stream.
• Proficiency in SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
• Strong expertise in data mapping, validation, cleansing, and transformation for Master and transaction data in S/4HANA transformations.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP data structures; good knowledge of writing SQL queries.
• Experience with data migration tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead data mapping and migration within SAP R2D process value stream.
• Coordinate data migration activities: Prepare -> Map -> Enrich -> Transform -> Validate.
• Execute scoping and mapping from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring alignment with value streams and migration teams.
• Verify extraction criteria and data availability; ensure data migration complies with defined approach.
• Drive data quality and validation; establish data quality criteria and oversee cleansing activities.
• Coordinate data validation with company and suppliers to ensure timely completion of validation.
• Collaborate with business, value streams, and IT teams to understand data requirements and needs.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on data mapping, issues, and resolutions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of mapping rules, migration processes, and validation results; ensure governance.

Data Migration Specialist (DMOC)- R2D

An experienced SAP Data Migration and Mapping Coordinator to lead the data migration activities as part of CORE

Transformation project. This role will focus on ensuring accurate, efficient, and seamless data mapping, validation,

cleansing, and coordinating with value stream leads / teams - while aligning with organizational and CORE program goals.

The ideal candidate will have good experience with SAP Processes, SAP ECC and S4HANA data structures ,data mapping ,

Cleansing and cross-functional team collaboration across different cultures

Key Responsibilities:

Data Mapping ,Migration:

• Support in executing entire scope of data within SAP R2D process value stream
• Co-ordinate and support data migration including Prepare > Map > Enrich > Transform > Validate >

Correct > Implement > Hypercare > Handover

• Execute data scoping and mapping activities from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring alignment with

Value streams , business, and migration teams

• Supports verifying extraction criteria, clarity on data availability and ensuring that data migration as per

data object complies with defined approach

Data Quality & Validation

• Drive data requirements and ensures that right set of data gets identified, gathered, and translated with

right data quality and data integrity

• Establish data quality criteria and oversee data cleansing activities to ensure the migration of accurate

and reliable data.

• Co-ordinate the data Validation activities with company and supplier to ensure timely completion of data

validation.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with Business , Value streams , functional and technical teams to understand data

requirements and business needs.

• Act as a liaison between business users, Value stream owners / leads and IT teams to ensure the data

integrity and accuracy.

• Tracks progress , pushes roadblocks. Provide regular updates to leadership on data mapping,

challenges, and resolutions.

Documentation and Compliance:

• Maintain detailed documentation of mapping rules, migration processes, and validation results.
• Ensure compliance with organizational data governance policies and SAP standards.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential data migration risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Experience & Skill set:

Experience :

• Overall 7 years of experience with minimum 1 years of experience in SAP data migration projects, preferably

with a focus on S/4HANA.

• Familiarity with data migration tools, methodologies, and best practices.

Domain Expertise:

• Comprehensive understanding of business processes across SAP R2D value stream.

Technical Expertise :

• Proficiency in SAP ECC and S4HANA
• Strong expertise in data mapping, validation, cleansing, and transformation processes for Master and transaction

data as part of S4HANA transformations

• In-depth knowledge of SAPdata structures
• Posses good knowledge in writing SQL queries
• Experienced in any data migration tools

Preferred Competencies:

• Proven experience in data mapping from SAP ECC to S/4 HANA
• Excellent knowledge of relevant best practices and standards related to data migration
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams , levels and cultures.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools
• Proven experience in managing or coordinating SAP data migration projects, preferably with SAP S/4 HANA
