Job Description

The Data Marketplace Product Lead will lead the product strategy, roadmap, delivery alignment, adoption, and continuous improvement of US Bank Internal Data Marketplace. This role sits at the intersection of data strategy, digital product management, user experience, governance, architecture, and enterprise data platform enablement.

This role will ensure the marketplace delivers measurable value for both data consumers and data publishers by improving data discoverability, simplifying access workflows, enabling product reuse, strengthening governance transparency, and driving adoption across business domains. The attached PPT describes consumer capabilities such as keyword search, filters, recommendations, product browsing, product detail views, access justification, consumption channel selection, and access request orchestration.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and success measures for the Enterprise Data Marketplace.
  • Translate EDOs marketplace strategy into a prioritized backlog of user capabilities, platform features, governance workflows, and adoption outcomes.
  • Align marketplace priorities to enterprise data product strategy, data domain operating model, AI/ML enablement, analytics modernization, and self-service data consumption.
  • Establish clear product outcomes tied to data discoverability, access efficiency, product reuse, user adoption, and business value realization.
  • Use OKRs, North Star Metrics, and leading indicators to manage roadmap priorities and measure marketplace performance; this aligns with internal digital product management guidance that emphasizes OKRs, product vision, roadmap prioritization, product-market fit, and measurable outcomes.
  • Own features for marketplace consumers and data product owners, such as search, filters, recommendations, product browsing, favorites, sharing, cart/checkout, justification capture, and access-status visibility.
  • Partner with design, research, and business teams to validate personas, jobs-to-be-done, usability, and adoption barriers.
  • Embed governance, data quality, security, auditability, and compliance requirements into marketplace product capabilities.
  • Serve as the product lead across business, technology, design, governance, architecture, agile, vendor, and platform teams.
  • Coordinate delivery cadence, cross-functional alignment, roadmap tradeoffs, release planning, and value realization.
  • Partner closely with technology leads, data architects, data engineers, UX/design, agile delivery leads, vendor partners, and domain stakeholders.
  • Drive clarity across epics, user stories, dependencies, release scope, acceptance criteria, and adoption readiness.
  • Partner with architecture and engineering teams to define how the marketplace integrates with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS RDS, Collibra, metadata catalogs, identity systems, entitlement platforms, and enterprise access workflows.
  • Build and execute adoption strategies for consumers, publishers, reviewers, domain teams, and platform stakeholders.
  • Monitor adoption and feedback signals through product analytics, product reviews, comments, active users, access requests, and engagement metrics.
  • Partner with finance, platform, and data teams to define FinOps transparency, subscription visibility, cost accountability, and marketplace value tracking.
Experience / Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Engineering, Analytics, or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • 6+ years of experience in product management, digital product delivery, data products, data platforms, analytics, governance, or enterprise technology delivery.
  • Experience defining product vision, roadmap, backlog, user stories, acceptance criteria, adoption metrics, and business outcomes.
  • Experience working with data platforms, data catalogs, metadata, data quality, data governance, access management, or enterprise data products.
  • Strong understanding of data product concepts, including product ownership, product lifecycle, metadata, data quality, lineage, SLAs, usage metrics, and business value.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across matrixed teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present product strategy, roadmap, risks, tradeoffs, and outcomes to senior leaders.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methods, product discovery, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and delivery governance.
  • Ability to operate in a regulated environment with attention to risk, compliance, security, privacy, and control requirements.
  • Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Collibra
  • Experience developing OKRs, KPIs, North Star Metrics, product analytics, adoption dashboards, and value realization reporting.
  • Experience partnering with UX/design teams on personas, journey maps, prototypes, usability testing, and jobs-to-be-done.
