Qualifications

  • Experience in AML transaction monitoring, financial crimes, or related domains.
  • Strong data skills: mapping, validation, ETL, and analysis of large data sets.
  • Hands-on SDLC and agile delivery experience.
  • Ability to manage backlogs, priorities, and accept stories.
  • Excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with AML tools like Actimize is a plus.

Job Description

Product Managers at U.S. Bank are customer obsessed in driving product visioning, planning and development to deliver on our human + digital product strategy and staying one step ahead of evolving economic, technological, and customer needs. As a Product Manager, you will:

  • Identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements.
  • Activate the connective tissue between U.S. Bank, customer experience, digital, technology, and business line strategy to identify and prioritize product / portfolio opportunities, and establish the product vision, charter and roadmap.
  • Defines product outcomes and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to prioritize Features/Epics and breaks down work into actionable steps to facilitate product discovery, design, development and delivery.
  • Manages the end-to-end product lifecycle and drives the product roadmap leveraging OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).
  • Creates the product in conjunction with agile, experience design, technology and risk partners to achieve business and customer outcomes.
  • In the case of technical products, understands and cares for the technical features, debt reduction and modernization of the technical product with expertise in the technology required of the product
Essential Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the product backlog for AML Data Integration and Oversight initiatives
  • Create detailed user stories and acceptance criteria in JIRA, ensuring clarity and completeness for development teams
  • Agree priority of backlog items based on business value, regulatory requirements, and strategic alignment, with the ADIO team.
  • Act as the primary liaison leading technical development and ensuring deliverables are suitable, fit for purpose, and have been validated and tested.
  • Support the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and implementation.
  • Validate completed stories (deliverables), ensuring functional requirements are met and solutions are robust.
  • Lead validation, and testing activities to ensure data integrity across multiple sources and systems.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to design and implement solutions.
  • Perform data analysis (source to target), identify issues, and prescribe solutions for complex data pipelines.
  • Engage stakeholders, lead regular product demos, elicit feedback, and ensure stakeholder needs are addressed.
  • Display strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, proactively addressing challenges and driving resolution.
  • Manage production release/deployment and validation of changes.
  • Partner with Scrum Master to oversee progress and remove impediments.
  • Engage stakeholders, lead regular product demos, elicit feedback, and ensure stakeholder needs are addressed.
  • Display strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, proactively addressing challenges and driving resolution.
  • Manage production release/deployment and validation of changes.
  • Partner with Scrum Master to oversee progress and remove impediments.
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Proven experience in AML transaction monitoring, financial crimes, or related domains (Fraud, KYC, Payments).
  • Strong data skills (Knowledge): data mapping, validation, ETL development, testing, and analysis of large data sets..
  • Hands‑on experience supporting SDLC processes and agile delivery.
  • Ability to manage product backlogs, prioritize work, and accept completed stories.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience with data quality tools, ETL processes (e.g., Informatica, Spark), and AML monitoring solutions (e.g., Actimize).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in writing detailed requirements and user stories in JIRA
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to understand what the data means and why it is so important
  • Understanding of regulatory expectations for data quality and controls.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., SAFe, CSPO, PSPO) preferred.

Experience – US product teams,

Shift Timings – 12.30 PM – 9.30 PM IST.

This individual contributor role will support the delivery of data related priorities coming from the Enterprise Financial Crime Compliance (EFCC) organization, Financial Intelligence Unit. Specifically, the role will support the AML Data Integration and Oversight (ADIO) function. The Product Owner will drive the delivery of data‑centric products and solutions that underpin AML transaction monitoring, ensuring data quality, completeness, and compliance with regulatory expectations.
