Job summary

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Data Management / Data Governance professional to support our client's Data Governance initiatives.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, Business SMEs and IT teams to drive data governance, data quality, data cleansing and data remediation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and support Data Governance and Data Management initiatives.
• Perform Data Quality analysis, health checks, data profiling and issue identification.
• Lead/support Data Cleansing and Data Remediation activities.
• Act as a key point of contact for Key Data Elements (KDEs) and ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Work closely with Business SMEs and IT teams to investigate and resolve data quality issues.
• Identify data gaps, inconsistencies and quality issues and coordinate appropriate remediation.
• Understand and document Data Lineage, Data Dependencies and data flows.
• Support data governance standards, policies, controls and data stewardship activities.
• Track data quality issues through resolution and ensure timely closure with relevant stakeholders.
• Communicate data-related issues, findings and remediation status to business and technical stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills

• 8+ years of relevant experience in Data Governance / Data Management / Data Quality.
• Strong hands-on experience in Data Governance.
• Experience in Data Cleansing / Data Remediation initiatives.
• Experience handling Key Data Elements (KDEs) or Critical Data Elements.
• Strong experience in Data Quality analysis and data quality checks/health checks.
• Experience working with Business SMEs and IT teams for data updates and remediation.
• Good understanding of Data Lineage and Data Dependencies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Informatica / Informatica Axon / Informatica Data Quality.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, Atlan or similar Data Governance tools.
• Exposure to Data Catalog, Data Stewardship and Metadata Management.

Important

Candidates should have strong hands-on Data Governance / Data Quality experience.

Pure Data Engineering, ETL, BI or Data Analyst profiles without substantial Data Governance experience will not be considered.
