Job summary

Squircle IT Consulting Services in Mumbai seeks a Data Architect with a minimum of 7 years’ experience to lead database design and ETL data modeling for enterprise solutions. You will normalize data, plan data migrations, and ensure secure, scalable database infrastructure.

You will collaborate with IT architects and development teams to translate business needs into robust data models, schemas, and recovery strategies, supporting BI initiatives across platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years as a database architect.
• End-to-end vision; translate logical design to physical databases.
• Normalize data and create data models for ETL loads.
• Address data migration issues including validation, clean-up and mapping.
• Liaise with clients/users to understand data requirements and with IT teams for implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop dataset, data warehouses and multidimensional databases for media domain.
• Analyze client operations to determine database requirements and improvements.
• Install, maintain and document database systems; ensure security, backup and recovery.
• Maintain database performance; resolve production and development issues.
• Develop strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery and ETL implementation.
• Coordinate with software development/integration teams as a data liaison.

Job Description

• The Data Architect must have minimum of 7 years of experience playing the role of database architect.
• Needs to have an end-to-end vision, and to see how a logical design will translate into one or more physical Databases.
• Able to normalize data and create data models for ETL loads.
• Need to be able to address issues of Data Migration (Validation, Clean-up and Mapping), and will need to understand the importance of Data Dictionaries.
• Able to determine database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming; reviewing objectives with clients, evaluating current systems.
• Develops database solutions by designing proposed system; defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications.
• Installs database systems by developing flowcharts; applying optimum access techniques; coordinating installation actions; documents actions.
• Maintains database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems; calculating optimum values for parameters; evaluating, integrating, and installing new releases; completing maintenance; answering user questions.
• Develops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database.
• Cleans and maintains the database by removing and deleting old data.
• Evaluate multiple source systems and analyze to generate a unified data flow model for ETL architecture.
• Be able to design and develop dataset, Data Warehouses and Multidimensional Databases related to media domain.
• Understand how the data relates to the current operations and able to work on future process changes by reducing redundancy, enabling accessibility within security boundaries, fostering corporate understanding of the meaning of the data (meta data management).
• Serves as the liaison between users and the database management team and any software development/integration teams.
• Must be able to understand and communicate the data requirements of any future infrastructure needs, working with the IT architects to develop an approach that fits the current and planned needs of the organization ("enterprise").
