Job summary

HSBC Software Development India is seeking an experienced Sr. Business/ Data Analyst to lead the development and delivery of business and data analysis work in banking technology.

You will own user stories, map data flows, and coordinate across product, technical, and functional teams. The role requires strong experience in data integration, regulatory changes, and negotiation with stakeholders to ensure efficient, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years experience as Business/Data Analyst in Banking technology.
• Exposure to data integration techniques.
• Ability to visualize data flow across systems.
• Understanding of Global Trade domain- LC/GTEs / TLs.
• Understanding kinds of requirements - Business, interface, formatting/mapping, NFRs.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders including product, technical and functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and prepare functional/nonfunctional user stories and process flows.
• Ensure regulatory and mandatory Business changes are defined, developed, and executed on Common Data services.
• Eliminate non-applicable requirements and ensure cost-effective delivery.
• Organise and run meetings with key stakeholders to review user requirements.
• Attend defect review calls and triage meetings and provide SME inputs.
• Help resolve production issues and incidents with IT and core Ops teams.

In this role, you will:

• Own and prepare functional/ nonfunctional user stories and process flows.

• Organise and run meetings with key stakeholders technical and functional to review user requirements.
• Attend defect review calls and triage meeting and provide SME inputs.
• Help resolve production issue and incidents along with IT and core Ops teams.

To be successful, you will:

• Minimum Experience of 8-10 years as Business/Data Analyst in Banking technology.
• Exposure to data integration techniques.
• Able to visualize the data flow across systems.
• Understanding of Global Trade domain- LC/GTEs / TLs.
• Understanding kinds of requirements - Business requirements, interface requirements, formatting/mapping, NFR's
• Should be able to multi task and manage multiple stakeholders .
• Experience in dealing with varied stakeholders - product, technical ,functional.
• Experience in user story creation. Able to support test team in test cases review and execution.
