Job summary

Yara Enterprise IT is seeking a senior Data & Information Architect to design and optimize data pipelines across the enterprise data platform. You will integrate SAP and non-SAP data into a modern cloud ecosystem enabling analytics, AI, and reporting.

You will mentor engineers, lead architecture reviews, drive best practices, and guide data governance to ensure trusted data products in a global, hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering.
• Proven leadership in hybrid or outsourced delivery models.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data solutions.
• Strong data integration, transformation, and orchestration skills.

About the Unit:

Yara Enterprise Information Technology, also known as Enterprise IT or Yara IT, is a network of interconnected teams and departments that deliver and support Yara's global IT services. Together, we provide a wide range of platforms and services that enable Yara’s global operations — including hosting, networking, cybersecurity, application services, and the digital workplace.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and coach data engineers, providing technical guidance and supporting professional growth.
• Lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and engineering decision-making processes.
• Promote engineering best practices, coding standards, quality assurance, and operational excellence.
• Support planning, estimation, prioritization, and execution of data engineering initiatives and strategic data products.
• Act as a trusted technical leader, balancing business priorities with engineering excellence and long-term platform sustainability.
• Build and maintain data ingestion frameworks from SAP (SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, and SAP Business Data Cloud) and non-SAP sources.
• Design data models supporting analytics, AI, and operational use cases.
• Implement data quality, monitoring, observability, and operational controls.
• Optimize performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency across the platform.
• Build and manage solutions on Microsoft Fabric and/or SAP BDC and/or AWS.
• Implement Lakehouse architectures, medallion patterns, and modern data engineering practices.
• Collaborate with Data Governance teams to ensure compliant and trusted data products.
• Support metadata management, lineage, cataloging, and business glossary initiatives.

Profile

We are looking for a highly skilled Data & Information Architect to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and data products across our enterprise data platform. You will play a key role in integrating business-critical data from SAP and non-SAP sources into a modern cloud-based data ecosystem, enabling analytics, AI, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

The ideal candidate combines strong architecture and engineering expertise with enterprise platform experience, while also providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and helping shape engineering standards and delivery practices across the Enterprise Data Platforms organization.

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Working Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or Analytics Engineering
  • Proven experience leading and scaling teams in a hybrid or outsourced delivery model.
  • Proven experience designing enterprise-scale data solutions.
  • Strong experience with data integration, transformation, and orchestration.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
