Deutsche Bank AG in Pune invites you to join the Data Frameworks team within the Chief Data Office as a Data Governance Specialist (Assistant Vice President). You will influence enterprise-wide data strategy and collaborate with senior stakeholders across the bank.

You will work on governance policy, standards, and artifacts, support regulatory and audit requirements, and drive improvements in data management across divisions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in data governance, data lineage, and data management.
• Exposure to regulatory and audit processes is a plus.
• Ability to interact with senior stakeholders across a large organisation.

Responsibilities

• Design Data Governance Policy, Procedures and Standards to improve the Data Management framework.
• Coordinate monthly Data Management Exception activities and reporting.
• Develop guidance to help divisions comply with Data Management Standards.
• Analyse regulatory/audit findings and support remediation plans.
• Maintain Data Framework artefacts and documentation for compliance.
• Manage the Data Framework document repository for easy access to policies.
• Review governance assets in platforms like Collibra and DEx to drive improvements.

You will have the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide data strategy, drive global standards, and work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, providing good exposure to diverse business divisions, functions, and strategic initiatives.

Your key responsibilities

• Support the design of Data Governance Policy, Procedures and Standards to improve DB’s Data Management framework to help drive consistent adoption by business divisions across the bank
• Coordinate and support the monthly Data Management Exception activities, ensuring effective tracking, governance and reporting
• Develop practical guidance and implementation materials to help business divisions comply with Data Management Standards
• Analyse regulatory, audit and internal findings, and support the development of cross-divisional remediation plans to address identified gaps
• Maintain key Data Framework artefacts and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory, audit and governance requirements
• Manage and continuously improve the Data Framework document repository, ensuring stakeholders can easily access relevant policies, standards and supporting materials
• Review and analyse data governance assets within platforms such as Collibra and Data Exchange Registry (DEx) to assess divisional adoption, identify gaps and drive continuous improvement in Data Management practices

Your skills and experience

• Strong experience in the area of data management, particularly data governance and data lineage.
• Useful experience in data authorisation, data quality, data risk or regulatory compliance
• Good understanding of regulatory and audit processes, including evidence and closure preparation
• Experience with Data Governance and Data Lineage tools
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Self-starter and ability to interact with senior stakeholders across the organisation
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
