Job summary

Tekskills is seeking a Data Governance Engineer in Mumbai/Pune to develop Python-based automation for Collibra metadata ingestion and data lineage. You will operate Collibra Centre workflows, configure metamodels, and design end-to-end lineage from source systems to analytics platforms.

The role requires 4–6 years of experience with Collibra, Python, SQL, and cloud data platforms. Strong communication and ability to translate governance concepts for business users are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python-based automation for bulk metadata ingestion into Collibra via REST/Core APIs.
• Operate Collibra Data Governance Centre workflows and metamodels.
• Design end-to-end data lineage from sources to analytics platforms.
• Create reusable Python analytics modules for clinical trial, real-world evidence, and commercial data.
• Profile large datasets and implement data quality checks using pandas/NumPy/Great Expectations.
• Lead sessions for business users on Collibra search, lineage visuals, and stewardship roles.
• Leverage Collibra APIs for import/export and workflow automation.
• Integrate Collibra Edge with cloud/AWS Glue where applicable.
• Translate governance concepts into business-user friendly terms.
• Write Python scripts to reconcile data between source systems and regulatory reports.

Job Description:

1. Develop Python-based automation script for bulk metadata ingestion into Collibra using Collibra REST API and Core API (pyCollibra experience a big plus).
2. Hands-on experience operating Collibra Data Governance Centre workflows, metamodel configuration, operating model setup
3. Design and implement end-to-end data lineage from source systems through Collibra to downstream analytics platforms.
4. Create reusable analytics modules in Python (clinical trial data, real-world evidence, commercial data).
5. Good to have strong SQL and experience with cloud data platforms.
6. Write Python scripts (pandas, NumPy, Great Expectations) to profile large datasets, automate data quality checks, and create reusable data validation frameworks.
7. Conduct sessions for business users on Collibra search, data lineage visualization, and stewardship responsibilities.
8. Experience with Collibra APIs and automation (import/export, workflow automation)
9. Prior experience integrating Collibra Edge with cloud or AWS Glue.
10. Excellent communication and stakeholder management (must translate technical governance concepts to business users)
