Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience developing Azure Data Factory pipelines.

• Experience with indexing strategies and DB performance tuning.
• Hands-on development with SQL Server/Azure SQL, PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.

• Experience with Change Data Capture and AWS DMS.
• Agile delivery background; data integration in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain reusable, parameterised Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Develop SQL-based transformation logic using complex queries, stored procedures, views and functions.
• Build and maintain database objects within Azure SQL Managed Instance, Aurora MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Analyse SQL execution plans and implement query optimisation and indexing strategies.
• Develop automation scripts for database deployment and operational activities.
• Support database schema changes through GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with Data Modellers and Architects on data models and transformations.
• Diagnose and resolve data-pipeline, transformation, and performance issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Produce technical documentation as required.
