Weekday is seeking a Data Engineer Analyst in Mumbai to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines, transforming raw data into actionable insights. You will leverage SQL, Python, and AWS, integrate large data sets into Snowflake, and enable real-time analytics with Tableau and Power BI.

You will collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to translate complex requirements into scalable data models, implement governance and security, and optimize performance across the data

Competenze

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with Snowflake, AWS, and SQL.
• Strong Python skills for data manipulation and automation.
• Experience building dashboards in Tableau and Power BI.
• Knowledge of data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and data governance and privacy regs (GDPR, CCPA).
• Excellent communication and ability to translate tech to non-technical stakeholders.

As a Data Engineer Analyst, you will design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines that transform raw data into actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization. Leveraging your expertise in SQL, Python, and cloud platforms, you will integrate large datasets into Snowflake environments, ensuring data quality and security while optimizing performance for real-time analytics. Your role involves collaborating with data scientists and business analysts to translate complex requirements into scalable, reusable data models that support advanced reporting and visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI. You will continually evaluate emerging technologies, recommend architecture improvements, and champion best practices in data engineering to drive efficiency and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using SQL and Python on AWS services such as Lambda, Glue, and EMR.
• Manage and optimize Snowflake data warehousing solutions, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau and Power BI, translating business requirements into visual stories.
• Develop ETL scripts and data transformation logic to clean, enrich, and consolidate data from disparate sources.
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance frameworks across the data lifecycle.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, ensuring timely resolution of pipeline failures and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data models, metadata, and documentation standards.
• Optimize SQL queries and Snowflake schemas for cost efficiency and rapid query response.
• Automate reporting processes and schedule data refreshes to support business-critical decision making.
• Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to junior data engineers and analysts on best practices and emerging technologies.

What makes you a great fit

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with proven expertise in Snowflake, AWS, and SQL.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining dashboards in Tableau and Power BI.
• In-depth knowledge of data modeling, indexing, and query optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and collaboration tools such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with data governance, security compliance, and privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English; knowledge of Hindi is a plus.
