Job summary

Systems Plus is seeking a Data Engineer in Pune to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and storage solutions. You will work with SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Microsoft Fabric to implement scalable data architectures and data integration across CRM and reporting environments.

The role requires a strong background in data management concepts, 5+ years on Azure Data Platform, and hands-on experience with SQL Server and T-SQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Business or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Microsoft Azure Data Platform.
• Strong expertise in Windows, SQL Server 2016+ and T-SQL programming.
• Proven experience delivering data migration and integration projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various database systems.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions using Azure technologies, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure SQL, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, query optimization challenges, and data quality inconsistencies.
• Develop and maintain data integration processes to load data from CRM platforms such as Dynamics 365 into Azure and SQL-based environments.
• Build, optimize, and monitor ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft Fabric Pipelines and Azure Data Factory.
• Design, maintain, and enhance database structures to meet evolving business and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.
• Provide technical support for data-related issues and recommend process improvements and best practices.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Promote and drive the adoption of modern data architecture principles, standards, and best practices across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of data management concepts, processes, and best practices.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience working with the Microsoft Azure Data Platform.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows, SQL Server 2016 (or later), and T-SQL programming.
• Proven experience managing relational databases and delivering data migration and integration projects.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with CRM platforms, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Hands‑on experience with KingswaySoft for ETL and data integration development.
• Advanced SQL expertise, including database design, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Ability to document technical solutions, processes, and provide knowledge transfer or training when required.

Good to Have

• Understanding of C# and .NET Core APIs.
• Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and front‑end development concepts.
• Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions such as Auth0.
