Job summary

Ascendion Engineering is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain ETL pipelines, focusing on data quality and secure data handling.

You will implement transformations, masking, and validation logic, and manage incremental loads with AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and Airflow. Collaboration with QA and deployment teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in ETL/Data Engineering.
• Strong Python and SQL with PySpark exposure.
• Experience with AWS S3, Glue, Lambda and Step Functions.
• Strong MySQL and data quality expertise.
• Familiarity with CDC/incremental loads and data masking.
• Experience in financial services data preferred.

• Create technical documentation and provide deployment/hypercare support.

Required Skills:

• 4+ years of experience in ETL/Data Engineering.
• Strong Python and SQL skills; hands‑on exposure to PySpark.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS S3, Glue, Lambda and/or Step Functions.
• Strong MySQL, data validation/data quality, and Git experience.
• Exposure to CDC/incremental loading and data masking/anonymization is a plus.
• Financial services or bureau data experience is preferred.
