Job summary

Bayzat is seeking a Data Engineer in India (Delhi area) to design scalable data models and build robust data pipelines. You will own end-to-end data infrastructure, enabling smarter decisions, automation, and personalized customer experiences.

Requirements include 3-4 years in data engineering, strong SQL and Python, experience with BigQuery or Snowflake, and proficiency with ETL tools like Airbyte, Airflow, and dbt. Familiarity with Looker or Superset is a plus.

About The Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to design scalable data models, build robust pipelines, and ensure reliable, high-quality data across the company. You will own our data infrastructure end-to-end, enabling smarter decisions, automation, and personalized customer experiences.

Some High-impact Responsibilities You Will Be Entrusted With

• Designing the data model for data collection in the data warehouse
• Data Collection and data storage from existing and new data sources to the Data Warehouse and Data Lakes
• Building ELT/ETL solutions to enable batch processing and real-time data processing
• Maintaining data pipelines and monitoring data pipeline health
• Promoting data quality through Data Fitness, Data Lineage, Data Governance, and Data Stability
• Performing query performance tuning on the data warehouse for faster and reliable data querying through BI tools
• Using Master Data Management techniques like Customer 360 to integrate all the customer data and interactions to have a comprehensive view of customers to provide a personalized user experience
• Building automation workflows and integrations for data transfer to various tools and applications
• Working with internal stakeholders to maintain and improve data lifecycle in the company

What You Will Need To Have

• Relevant experience of 3 - 4 years.
• Experience in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
• Experience in programming languages like Python
• Experience in managing data warehouses, such as Bigquery or Snowflake
• Experience with 3NF, Dimensional Models, and Data Vault
• Expertise in building ETL pipelines and data pipeline frameworks like Airbyte, AWS Firehose, Airflow, dbt
• Experience with engineering processes like Unit Testing and CI/CD
• Hands-on experience in AWS ecosystem
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Looker and Superset
• Outstanding critical thinking and analytical skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team and comfortable in a dynamic environment
• Efficiently organized and detail-oriented, able to ensure quality and accuracy of the output
• Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, effectively collaborating across departments
