Job summary

BSL Consulting is seeking a Data Engineer to work with business teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions. You will design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, connect to multiple data sources, and optimize SQL queries while collaborating with stakeholders.

You will use Databricks and Azure Data Factory, and create dashboards with Power BI or Tableau. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential to deliver timely insights.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development.
• Hands-on knowledge of Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Experience connecting data sources through JDBC and other integration methods.
• Familiarity with JIRA for task management.
• Working knowledge of visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Good communication skills and ability to work directly with business users.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize SQL queries, including during live discussions with business stakeholders.
• Maintain task updates, status tracking, and documentation in JIRA.
• Support data validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution across data pipelines.
• Work with visualization/reporting tools and create connections to different data sources.
• Prepare basic documentation, reports, and analysis using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of data solutions.
