Hexaware is conducting a Virtual Drive for seasoned Data Engineers with strong hands-on Python, and Adf We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer / Data Scientist with 6to 10 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing large-scale data solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise across ETL development, SQL, Python/PySpark, and modern data platforms such as Databricks This role involves working with complex datasets, building scalable data pipelines, enabling analytics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and real-time data processing.
- Develop, optimize, and manage data workloads using Databricks (PySpark/Python).
- Build and maintain robust data models and data warehousing solutions using
- Write high-quality, efficient SQL and work with relational and cloud-based databases.
- Perform advanced data transformations, cleaning, and validation to ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborate with data scientists, BI teams, and business stakeholders to deliver analytical datasets.
- Troubleshoot pipeline issues, optimize performance, and improve system reliability.
- Follow best practices in data quality, security, documentation, and version control (Git).
- Contribute to architectural discussions and provide guidance on scalable data solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 6to 9 years experience in Data Engineering or Data Science, with a strong focus on ETL tools, SQL, and Python/PySpark.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Practical experience working with Databricks for end-to-end data workload development and optimization.
- Proficiency in Python and PySpark for data manipulation and processing.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS(schemas, stages, pipelines, performance tuning).
- Experience working with at least one ETL tool (Informatica, Talend, ADF, Matillion, etc.).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (star schema, dimensional modeling, fact/dimension tables).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
