Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Senior Engineer - Azure - Data Specialist (L3) in Delhi to design and implement robust data models and scalable data pipelines on Azure. The role emphasizes data governance, performance optimization, and strong collaboration with business stakeholders.

You will work with Azure Synapse, ADF, ADLS, Databricks, and SQL-based solutions to deliver enterprise data warehousing and lakehouse capabilities, enabling advanced analytics and Power BI reporting.

Qualifications

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Develop scalable and high‑performance Data Warehouse and Lakehouse solutions on Azure.
• Design Fact and Dimension models to support analytics and reporting requirements.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards are met.
• Optimize SQL queries, data models, and data pipelines for performance and scalability.
• Support Power BI and analytics teams with well‑structured semantic data models.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable Data Warehouse and Lakehouse solutions on Azure.
• Create and optimize Fact and Dimension models for analytics.
• Build ETL/ELT pipelines using ADF and Databricks with performance in mind.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Ensure data governance, quality, and security compliance in all pipelines.
• Tune SQL, optimize data models, and scale data workflows.
• Support Power BI teams with clean semantic models and documentation.
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers on best practices.
