We are looking for someone to work with a cross‑functional team to act as a data and business process analyst to spot inefficiencies and analyze existing workflows and business processes to identify opportunities for simplification within operations.
Responsibilities
- Use data analysis tools, process modeling, and problem‑solving skills to identify bottlenecks, redesign processes, and implement changes that align with business goals.
- Collaborate with various teams to understand their needs and analyze existing workflows to identify areas where automation can significantly improve productivity.
- Design the target operating model that will transform our data and operations landscape.
- Leverage data analytics to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data, providing insights that drive business decisions and improve data quality.
- Contribute to the growth of AM Operations by researching and exploring AI/automation tools and technologies to continuously improve our processes.
- Other responsibilities include data collection and analysis, process mapping, requirements gathering, stakeholder management, process implementation, and change management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of hands‑on experience in data and business analysis with demonstrated experience in operation process optimization within the financial industry, focusing on Asset Management.
- Proficiency with SQL and automation/analytics tools.
- Strong command of SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
- Proven ability in data and process modeling and experience working with complex datasets to support decision‑making and data architecture design.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret and leverage AM data and AI capabilities to drive process improvements.
- Detail‑oriented and solution‑focused, with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
- Understanding of Agile software methodology and modern CI/CD practices.
- Visionary mindset with passion for innovation and cutting‑edge technologies, particularly in driving the adoption of AI and GenAI in the data and operations space.
Your Team
You'll be working in the Chief Data Office and Traditional Operations within UBS Global Asset Management. We’re responsible for defining data strategy and supporting the management of core data sets used across Asset Management. Our team encompasses Data Strategy and Delivery, Data Mastering and Governance, Data Architecture, Data Analytics, and Operations, and is based in New York City, Zurich, and Pune.
